BMPRS 2019 AGM

SUNDAY 24TH NOVEMBER 2019

A good meeting held at Sheffield resulted in the usual club debate and cumulated in the presentation of trophies. For some pictures click HERE

Big thanks to Mark Wild and Mat and the Underbank Activity Centre for hosting this event and providing a nice Hot Pot, sandwiches and gooey cake as well as welcome warm drinks.

ONLY MAIN RULE CHANGE WHICH RACERS NEED TO BE AWARE FOR 2020 SEASON IS THAT

BMPRS RECOMMEND THAN ALL SPARK IGNITION POWERED BOATS BE FITTED WITH A WORKING "SPARK OUT" TYPE ENGINE KILL DEVICE. (THIS IS IN ADDITION AND SEPARATE TO THE INTEGRAL RADIO CONTROL FAILSAFE FUNCTION). USE OF THE KILL DEVICE WILL BE MANDATORY ON RACE DAYS.

MORE DETAILS ON AGM, MINUTES, RACE CALENDAR  ETC WILL FOLLOW AS SOON AS THEY ARE MADE AVAILABLE.

More about British  Model

Powerboat Racing Society

BMPRS - A little bit about us....

Established in 2010 BMPRS is designed to offer this amazing hobby and sport, to a wide range of members for a minimal outlay. We race competitively, but also for enjoyment, which is a key reason why members enjoy the race-days so much. Young or old, novice or expert, we welcome all to come and watch or participate in our sport.

What and how we race -

Model powerboats of the off-shore type predominately petrol powered, with nitro power also an option. Engines can range in size from 3cc nitro, to 60cc pertrol, and race in classes dependent on hull type and engine size.
